1890’s to early 1900’s black silk satin boned mourning bodice. The front of the bodice is decorated with pleats and closes with brass hooks and eyes. There are decorative tails at the back, with matching pointed cuffs. The interior of the bodice is expertly crafted with a fine black cotton in the bodice, and a soft tan khaki cotton lining the sleeves.
Excellent antique condition with some holes and a large tear in the shell material on each sleeve. The large tear is shown in the listing photos. Otherwise there is minor damage to the satin, including small scratches and tears.
