Kvennfolk original coat made with an exquisitely detailed 30’s/40’s crazy quilt. The crazy quilt is made with rayon, velvet, and wool scraps, all brightly colored and patterned. They were all sewn together with decorative stitches and decorated with little gold keys throughout. There were two spiderweb embroidered pieces that we used for the pocket flaps. For the buttons we decided on a couple one-of-a-kind Victorian painted carved wood bird buttons. The coat is lined with a rich rusty red-orange upcycled satin curtains.
There are some scattered minor flaws carried over from its age in the form of small holes and areas of discoloration, all adding to its story and character.
Care: dry clean only, do not expose to water or moisture for risk of dye bleed.
